This thermometer is quite large but very easy to read from inside the house. I checked it's accuracy against a digital thermometer and it was spot on! The scale was a thin plastic film which had a few small bubbles underneath. This is my only criticism of this product.

It works pretty well and seems to be precise, at least during the summer. Lets see how it performs in winter since it can get pretty cold here. I put it in a window in my balcony, so it's not totally exposed to the elements. The glass came slightly chipped in one spot in the border, but it was well packed so I don't think it happened during shipping. Hard to see though and it doesn't detract from it.

Well made,packed in protective box. I imagined it to go on the inside but it goes on the outside of the window :) Protective plastic screen should be removed before use. Pretty good value for the price
