Works well in the garden of an evening and for outside hanging under the bonnet of the car and it gives off a lot of light. It isn't very big and is convenient for carrying around. The solar panel is the perfect size for even in a pocket for carrying,it charges even on duller days. For the price it is a real bargain and cheaper to run than a torch because it just recharges the batteries. The light is just like a mains power light bulb and it gives out all around light.
