I got some strange looks from 'herself' when I gave the commentary, "the ceiling is 20.4, the dog is 29, the TV is 33.1, the coffee is 49..." But when I left the room I could hear the "beep beep" of various items in the lounge being tested. :) It's irresistible! I realised this afternoon that this makes an excellent non-contact thermometer for brewing, so I do have a practical use for it now. I've had to order one as a present for a friend who visited yesterday. I look forward to finding out the temperature of his kitchen sink, mother, cat, and other items.

Very cheap product. purchased because it only uses 2xAAA batteries instead of more expensive 9V models. Very accurate meansurements.Good value for the money. My cats love the laser pointer to play, too!

Works perfect as far as I can see. Also appears to be quite accurate. A check with a professional thermometer at work showed only 0.1 °C difference at ambient temperature.
