Wanted to use this to register blinks from my power meter LED. However, it doesn't register the blinks from my power meter. It seems to work fine with other light sources though, but it's not sensetive enough for my use case

BG632147415 I put mine in a small cardboard box with a window through to the power meter LED. I sealed around the window with blu tack to help ensure as much led light got through to the diode. Then adjusted the diode sensitivity till it was just right.
