When I was going to buy it I did not know how well it will function. After I tried to grip it I am satisfied. Hard to say how exact this measurement is but at least you can meter your improvement. After you put your hand out it will stand at the value gripped. There is a small lever to set to zero. One remark to producer - for american and european market it would be better if scale would end at least at 150 - 170 kg, for I am a thin man and could grip 90 kg. After little exercise I will be able grip far more than 100 kg.
