Light rain doesn't get through but it's still new. I didn't dare to try it in heavy rain without rain gear as I had another day of hiking to do. The rubber patch feels weird but isn't bothersome while hiking. Still very happy with it.

great pants.. I realize the sizing difference and have ordered this size before and was perfect but sadly this time far to big for me ): I cannot wear them at all.. but looking at them..if they were my size I would love them..!!
