This connection is not waterproof, so the antenna is not water resistant. The consumption of the antenna without the disconnected LED is 18mA. A USB, type C, is available for charging the battery. The LED indicator has two states, red - charging, green - charging completed. Switching off/on is realized using a mechanical push button switch located on the base. For an indoor antenna, I can't imagine a better one. Put this antenna next to a window for best results. It can't match an outdoor antenna, like a magnetic loop, but it is good for someone with limited space, or just starting out in the hobby. I was able to get all the SW stations I listen to when paired to my DSP2 receiver. It would be good for traveling as well.
