A very pretty rod that comes well presented and also includes a rod bag. Build quality seems quite good, the rod eyes especially are both attractive and seemingly well made. This rod features an extendable butt which is very useful for further casting, allowing greater leverage. With the butt in its closed position the rod is useful for closer casts. I did find a small problem with the reel seat, the clamps to hold the reel are quite wide and this allows a small bit of lateral reel movement - not a huge problem and easily fixed with tape or tubing over the reel legs. The rod is rated to 30g but that would be it's maximum, I wouldn't go much over 20g The supplied reel is very smooth with a nice click-over of the bail-arm. It has a very smooth drag which is adjusted on the spool itself (the original and still best system). The reel can be used either left- or right-handed and also offers a fast fold-away of the handle. The spool of line is way too heavy for the rod and reel, HOWEVER, it seems to be a very good product and because of its stiffness would be very useful in making nylon stand-away booms - I'm keeping that spool! I'm satisfied with my purchase and will be trying it out as soon as possible.

I've purchased 3 set of this fishing rod! Very smooth reel with quality rod. Great for short and long casting. However, there have gap at the reel holder and it make the reel move but it is a small problem. I put tape to fix the small problem. Anyway, this is great set that anyone must have! Thumbs up!

Just come back from fishing Flatties at my local marina. Excellent rod and reel set. As mentioned in previous posts reel sits slightly narrower than the holder which just needs some electrical tape to bulk up and sit snuggly. Ordered 2 of these and one thing I did notice on both rods was a loose ring on one of the lower sections (First extension) where the glue hadn't adhered properly. I checked the other eyelet sections and they seem fine and secure. Easy fix with some CA glue or epoxy as I did. Reel I received was blue with gold metal line spool (EU warehouse). Kit also Included a spare ABS line spool which is a bonus too. I didn't receive a reel pouch though as pictured. Just a rod bag. All in all a very compact and light rod and reel combo. Ideal bring anywhere or kit leave in the car just in case!!

Was not expecting much from this rod when I ordered it but I was pleasantly surprised. Its a gorgeous looking bit of kit as well. The build quality for the price is awesome and the rod & reel performed above my expectations. The line that comes with it is actually decent as well. The fit of the reel in the reel seat is a tiny bit loose but it's not anything to be significantly worried about. This is perfect for keeping in the car just in case I ever end up in a nice spot for a fish.

REceived the fishing rod reel and line. The reel is excellent fabrication with smooth action as any i've ever had. The collapsible rod will have to be studied a bit to get full functionality. But good quality as well. Overall, excellent value from banggood!
