The synthesizer is not bad. I could check up to 350 MHz that is my scope's limit. I don't have a spectrum analyzer for time being therefore I couldn't test all features but it's quite promising specifications. But most important missing point here is the PC control software. I have searched all over internet but I couldn't find a working PC control software for this module. I believe the output level drops down rapidly by frequency. The output level which is shown on the display is not correct, pretty lower and this increases by frequency. They didn't use a Ballun transformer to convert differential to single ended and that limits the performance of MAX2870. You should reset the module if you cannot see the right frequency because the module has serious bugs. They have to be corrected.
