Although sold and packaged as G8 bulbs (8mm pin spacing), what was actually inside were G4 bulbs (4mm). A little modification with needle nose pliers and they fit OK. Other than the base error, they're great bulbs. At least as bright as the halogen bulbs I'm replacing, but a lot cooler. . Also, a little bigger than old halogen bulbs. I can't get the safety glass cover back on a few of the fixtures, but don't figure I'll need that protection with these cooler bulbs.

I note that several comments about the wrong size for G8 socket. When I received bulb though I had the same problem. However, on inspection of the lamp found there were 2 sets of contacts. One for my US G8 bulbs and another for your G8 bulbs. They only worked when I connect the hot to one of the smaller pin holes. Once I got the hang of it all worked fine. My only question if is the plastic cover is to come off?

the blub PINS are BIT SHORT (length) to replace halogen blub. These pins don't fit in the blub socket . the blub is lose in the socket .

These bulbs were advertised as being compatible with 120v. G8 sockets but the pins are the wrong size. The pins are too close together to fit into G8 sockets. I want the seller to take them back and refund my purchase price.
