Q: can i make variable power supply by use this buck converter?

Preguntado por Ritu sobre 2020-06-24 06:31:48

Bricola Depends what you are having for source power. It is a buck (step down) module, the DC input must be greater that the desired DC output. If you add a Amp-Volt display and change the 10k lin trim pot to external 10k lin pot, is can be use as a variable power supply. I will advise to add a cooling fan if you are using at high Wattage.

Q: Are these isolated?

Preguntado por tedhancock68 sobre 2020-07-10 02:22:24

Bricola No, this kind of module are not isolated, means the - (minus or gnd) line is common (you can see this on the back circuit picture). The + (positive) line pass through the IC MP2307DN, which is not optocoupled.

Q: What is the power consumption, specially of the backlight? Thank you!

Preguntado por fabio_oliveira500 sobre 2020-07-01 05:34:45

Bricola You may have a look by googling for (thanks to grumpy_gnome that gives this info in this forum). According to the specs of this datasheet, backlight current is about 180mA. By 4.2V means 0.756W. Hope this help.

Bricola Hello, the AC - DC adapter is there to provide enough power for the USB3.0. One USB3.0 does not have enough power to connect 7x USB 3.0 that request power (for example if you want to charge your Phone, have a powerpack connected, an other laudspeaker that need also power, and so on..... That will be too much for one USB3.0 to split into many (up to 7) USB3.0. Of course, if you do not have USB3.0 connected that need power, you can forget the adapter. USB 3.0 can have max 900mA on 5V = 4.5W. (source : "en.wikipedia.org\wiki\USB_3.0 ). Of course if you do have a more powerfull output (charging), it can be enough. You can also get a look at : "superuser.com\questions\1460313\what-is-the-maximum-power-supplied-by-a-usb-3-0-port" that might gives you some clue. Notice that Banggood does not allow to put link and Slash sign. I've put a back slash \ instead, please change it to a normal slash, "htpps" has also been removed. Hope this will help.

Q: Is it UL listed?

Preguntado por BG674710352 sobre 2020-05-16 04:38:03

Bricola Unfortunately not. You may look at some customer pictures of the back of the unit, there is no UL sign. This is a "light" product, depending of the circuit layout and version it may not work with the time. It is usually not a big problem, the exchange of event outgoing electrolytic capacitors or the 47uf 50V in the middle of the board may solve the default. Notice that this unit generate quite a lot of interference noise.
