Drops the temperature in my van about 10 degrees when parked in the summer sun in Queensland, Australia. Still hot, but much more bearable. The rubber strip it comes with to seal the window around the unit works well, no leaks in the rain.

Excellent little pump, does indeed self prime. Can run off a 9v battery for a short while.

Decent video quality, not so good in low light, and sound quality is not at all good, but can mostly hear what's happening in the car. Screen is too dim for reversing camera to be useful during the day.
