box came with zero padding and arrived with deformed corners. there were some foreign matter (soil?) at the bottom of the box. foam inserts were of different coloration (one looks old/used). some minor blemish and scuff marks on the flashlight, but performs according to function. 4⭐ rating for flashlight appearance and function, because of the scuff marks and blemishes on a brand new flashlight (no sealed packaging to prevent patina?). would be downrated to 3⭐ overall in terms of packaging appearance and presentation (damaged box, foreign matter, and reused(?) foam insert).
