I bought this out of sheer curiosity, and it's great! It runs off a 24V DC supply, so I hooked up 2 12V batteries in series, and it worked brilliantly. I placed the fogger in a small tub half-filled with water, about 4cm of water higher than the top of the fogger. When I switched it on, the first thing I noticed is that water is being propelled upwards, and there is a small amount of splashing directly above the element. However, it wasn't long afterwards before the mist started appearing, filling the tub and gently overflowing. The mist is cold, not steam, and does condense on nearby objects quickly. With the colour changing LEDs, it gives a good effect in the flowerbeds. There is a cutoff feature included, that allows the LEDs to keep working, but stops the misting. I think a series of these would be more effective than a single one, unless I was using it on a water feature. Would be perfect for Halloween dispays.
