Very fun to drive, but needs a lot of tuning. Toe angle should be changed with the included shorter steering rods and suspensions are very stiff, I suggest to remove the pre-load clips. The body is very thin and will crack easily, try to reinforce it, especially the front, before using. The body posts are very short and the body sits too low, it requires some custom work to get it a bit higher where it should be. The body is so low the front wheels can get stuck at max steering in some cases. Nevertheless super fun and with an amazing look. I hope spare parts will become available soon.

Amazing amount of light, great battery life. It's only missing some soft foam on the part touching the forehead, but it's easy to add and for this price, totally worth it.

For the price it's very well worth it. I used it in a 1/10th scale short course truck and it was definitely fast enough for bashing and plenty strong for the weight.

A great beginner radio. Has all the basic functions (trim and dual rates), it provides 6CH (for the price it's amazing), it even has a gyro builtin. It lacks exponential and end point / travel adjustment (the dual rate can only compensate for that partially), so it's not adequate for complex setups (e.g. some crawlers with multi speed transmission / diff lock / dig), but for simple setups it's just amazing.

Definitely not an all road vehicle, this is strictly on road only. Rocks and pebbles will gets stuck in the steering rack in nanoseconds. With that being said this is great fun to drive on road and bash at the skate park. It's very twitchy and super sensitive to steering input, thankfully it comes with a gyro, otherwise it would not be an easy drive at all. I found it particularly fun to drift, using the provided drift tires, at the skate park or on road. It's an incredible drifter and the light show is an eye catcher. Get one!

Do NOT buy this car for your kids. This is a great car for an enthusiast hobbyist that would like to fix and tune this car to make it run well and deal with the high maintenance it requires. Also do NOT buy the brushless version, it is massively over-geared and it cogs badly. With some significant work this car can become actually very good and worth the time needed to fix it. The car came without oil in the shocks (they were completely dry, nothing at all inside), without grease in the differentials, one of the differential crown gears was not screwed in all the way, it would have snapped at first use. The wheels geometry is all over the place, many screws are actually super glues in making it hard if not impossible to remove. For example differential pinion gears are screwed in the central drive shaft with a very small screw, which will snap when you try to remove it, so you will need to order spare parts. The upper chassis brace (second floor as WLtoys calls it) is very flexible, not providing the brace it is supposed to. It's probably a good idea to upgrade to metal. Bearings will also ceased quite quickly, they are not the best (still better than Arrma's), but can be replaced. The radio could use an upgrade too, the steering is way too sensitive and it cannot be set from the radio. Once all the above is fixed, is it a fun car? Yes it is. It's small and light, handles well and it's durable enough for what it is and the price tag. If you don't mind some the tuning project definitely get one.

enricotagliavini To be fair, I found many more issues with this car after the first 2 days. Shocks were assembled incorrectly and missed some spacers, they could not hold oil inside and were good only to be trashed right away. One of the dogbone driveshaft at the back has a machining defect and would not allow full travel and made a lot of noise while running. Plastic is in general very brittle and broke in multiple points within the first run with no jumps or hard driving whatsoever. I\'m very disappointed and I\'m simply going to scrap this car, it\'s not worth repairing.

Needs quite a bit of tuning for the wheel geometry and suspension, then it's actually very fun to drive. The UDIRC version seems to have better shock absorbers, the shaft is metal, while in the Eachine version they are plastic and are not smooth at all. The body will crack quite easily in the front with a decent hit, so I recommend making it stronger with shoe goo, epoxy resin, maybe hot glue. The rubber tires will wear out very quickly if you try to drift on asphalt with them, so be sure to have spares. The drift tires are very fun on smooth surfaces such as skate parks. It's not really a drifter, but can be fun nevertheless. The servo is very weak, but does the job, an upgrade is not a bad idea.

There one single reason why this product doesn't get a 5 star rating: I don't think it's safe. The ESC self calibrates the zero every time it's turned on. The other day my car started going backwards at full speed, probably because the zero calibration went wrong. Luckily it had no wheels attached in that moment, but there was no way to stop it other than turning it off. The ESC calibration should not happened automatically at every turn on, it needs a button or anyway an alternative way of triggering the calibration. On some ESC you hold either full throttle or full brake to make that happen. Other than this design issue I think this combo is actually quite good. I've used it only once, on 6S (note: this motor is NOT rated for 6S, it says max 21 Volts in the specs and 6S is 25.2) but with a fairly easy gearing and it worked very well.

The motor is a 5/5 and it's the reason why you want this, since it's not a bit hard to find by itself. Super smooth, runs well. The ESC is not great, it runs ok, it's fairly quiet, but it's not programmable. The lack of drag brake setting is a fairly important missing feature. The BEC voltage is 7.4 volts which is not as common as the standard 6 volts and there is no way to change that. If you servo or receiver doesn't support 7.4 volts they will fry if you use this ESC. Nevertheless it's good to have even just for the motor.

enricotagliavini No, you need a 36 mm diameter motor for the Rustler, it's a 1-10 scale car, not a 1-8 scale car, so you need to use the appropriate motor size, usually 2S and 3S compatible, not 6S.

Quite good ESC / motor combo. The ESC board seems to be protected with resin, so I would guess it is actually waterproof. The combo is quite powerful, I tested it in the ZD Racing DBX-10 (note: a 3660 motor doesn't fit out of the box, you have to grind a couple of millimeters of plastic in two places to make it fit) and it has plenty of power. For such a small / light car I definitely recommend to purchase the program card as the brakes are very very strong, locking up the wheels very easily. The servo is nice, but noticeably slow, probably best used in a crawler. However I have to say it's working well on the DBX-10 and I'm not going to take it out for a faster one for the time being. I also have a gyro in the receiver (from Radiolink) and the servo is working well with it, even if slow on paper it feels like the right amount of response for such a light and stable car with light tires.
