So, you want to improve your tracking, panning, tilting and gliding shots? Yes, of course you do, and there no easier way I know of getting you to that place than by buying a cheap and cheerful gimbal such as this.  Will it improve the fluidity of your camera movements much?  Oh yes.  Right out of the box you’ll be producing wonderfully slick and smooth tracking shots, and wondering how you ever managed to live without one, and furthermore, why you waited so long to buy one.  Of course there’s now a huge variety of small gimbals out there – all vying for your money.  Some have longer actuating arms so are less compact, but they can double up as phone camera stabilisers.  Some are so cheap I wonder if they’re designed to even last the year. This Hohen is nicely made, with soft-touch material on the handle and ergonomically placed controls.  Set-up is easy-peasy and the motors are as silent to my ear as they are to the Yi’s sensitive microphones.  The Hohen is claimed to be splash-proof, and I wish there was a fine tune in the pan motors as mine doesn't point perfectly forward. In ‘selfie’ mode, holding the gimbal at arm’s length and chatting to camera as you walk, the results can be unnervingly smooth. This really cheap gimbal (costing less than a tank of petrol for my Fiesta), gives me the ability to glide smoothly - crucially without having to resort to lengthy set-up times, resolution-grabbing post stabilisation or hand-held trial and error takes.  I am mightily impressed, and know it’s money well spent.
