I bought the milky white led-strip, which diffuses the light evenly, and I guess it should work quite nice under a shelf or smth. I, however, intended to use it in a photography lightbox, and maybe should have got the transparent type, as the milky white cover removes some of the intensity of the light. Nonetheless: A nice product!
