The original device came with a cracked screen, so Banggood replaced the PortaPack board with a new one. The new one arrived with several bent pins, but I was able to straighten them and attack the PortaPack board to the HackRF board. The device works flawlessly. The PortaPack makes it possible to use the device without a computer, storing the captured data on an SD card for later analysis with a computer, which makes my research much easier. This is a great deal, but Banggood need to improve their packaging a little bit to prevent damage to the devices in shipping. I would highly recommend this device.

  • Jchisholm Seriouslyis part of the maufacturing process throwing these at a concrete wall??
    Mine also arrived with the corners bent and the endplates deformed.
    VERY POOR quality control and/or shipping.
    No info regardeing battery terminations or the required CMOS backup battery.
    The main battery socket is a three pin (?!)
