I needed to mount this switch upside down in the top of a tank to initiate an indicator light when full. That won't work as received, since the switch contacts would be open when tank is full. I found out while trying to modify the float action that if the float is removed and turned around, it will reverse the contact action and work as needed for my purpose, closing the contacts when float moves to the switch body, opening them when float moves away.
