It doesnt exactly climb small stairs or walk by itself, but it moves a little in a circle motion and is very scary in the night for Halloween! All fingers move independently and feels very realistic to touch and see, nice glow effect, the sound is not spooky tho just eery. After about 2 minutes it shuts off by itself (maybe to conserve battery?) and you must touch or clap powerful near it to make it work again for another 2 minutes. Works with 3 batteries, the Aaa type. Also I add that it looks quite spooky in the day too, especially if you put it on a tree or something :)
