A long wait for this (out of stock at the time of order) but I kept the order in place - I'm happy I didn't accept the offer to cancel it. The only 'snag' anywhere was a tracking number that showed the 'irtem' had been delivered to someone in England (I'm in Ireland) back in January - but I didn't order it until well after that. I'll mark that one to to the Brit Royal Mail No software supplied, but a full guide to setting up can be found at https://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-quick-start-guide/ which includes the links for the necessary software and instructions for setting it up On operation, there was no problem picking up signale on the 2 metre band, however, for best results a 'proper' external antenna is required. The whip is fine for testing but doesn't have great range
