I have a very noisy highway in front of my house. The local government would not listen to my complaint because I could not prove how loud the noise was. I considered buying a dB meter but they were too expensive...until I saw this one. I sample the highway noise at different times of the day and in different seasons. Hopefully, when the study is finished, I will convince the highway department to install sound mitigation.
