    Very nice kit. It included a RAK19007 RAK4671 kit pre-mounted inside the case so I could get started right away. There are some things unclear and could be improved in a future revision:_1. The battery case can hold 4 cells,but the manual asks for only 2. Its unclear if 2 is the minimum required or maximum supported. Since they are in parallel,the voltage will be the same with any number of cells,but does the solar panel generate enough power to charge 4 in a day?_2. Theres a Type C port at the bottom (behind a rubber seal) that goes to the solar charge board. It supports C-to-C charging and stops drawing power when the (unprotected) Li-Ion 18650 cells are topped up,so thats good. But it only draws 5W and doesnt support LiFePO4 chemistry,which I prefer for outdoor use in tropical heat_3. The solar board plugs into the RAKs battery input port,leaving the solar port empty. That means I get battery voltage telemetry but not solar power telemetry. Im building a weather station,so now I need additional sensors when I could have had this free with a split board design._4. The empty space for the two extra cells is great for hosting additional PCBs,but it has exposed live battery contacts. I have to tape over or cut them off for safety. The cover has indents for 6 cells,so it looks like the case was designed for six and the top two were removed to host the RAK board. Why retain two more unused slots with live contacts? This design choice is baffling._5. Since the case is waterproof,I cant place any environmental sensors inside,defeating the modularity of the RAK WisBlock system. Sensors need a housing with radiation shielding and Stevenson filters,so I have to use regular I2C sensors placed in separate housing,with wiring through the bottom access port. A huge missed opportunity here.
