Precise details:
Specification:True 4K at 60 frames. Starlight sensor that sees in the dark. Built-in stabilization that smooths your freestyle. The Moonlight isn't just an upgrade—it's the camera that makes your Avatar system shoot like a cinema rig.
4K/60FPS. Not Upscaled. Native.
The Moonlight records true 4K at 60 frames per second onto a dedicated recording board at up to 150Mbps bitrate. This isn't a low-bitrate "4K" that falls apart in motion. This isn't upscaled 1080P with a 4K label. Every frame contains the detail of a full 3840×2160 sensor readout. For the first time, your FPV DVR rivals the output of a GoPr0—without the GoPr0's weight, without the GoPr0's mounting gymnastics, and without the GoPr0's latency penalty.
1/1.8" Starlight Sensor. Fly When the Sun Drops.
The Moonlight is built around a 1/1.8-inch Starlight sensor—physically larger than the 1/2.8" and 1/3" sensors in most FPV cameras. Larger sensor area means larger individual pixels. Larger pixels capture more light. The result: usable, detailed color footage in conditions where standard FPV cameras surrender to black. ISO 100-25600 range with 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) cleans up low-light grain without smearing motion. Parking garage sessions. Twilight proximity. Dawnn patrol launches. One camera. Day and night. No swapping hardware.
Built-in EIS + Gyroflow. Smooth Without the Gimbal.
The Moonlight packs built-in Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) that smooths footage in real time. For post-production perfection, the camera records full gyro data compatible with Gyroflow—the open-source stabilization software that's become the standard for cinematic FPV. Import your footage. Load the gyro data. Render buttery-smooth 4K that looks like it was shot on a gimbal. Freestyle pilots, this is your new secret weap0n.
160° FOV. Everything in Frame.
A 160° diagonal field of view through an F2.1 aperture lens captures an expansive perspective without the extreme fisheye distortion that makes gates look warped and distances hard to judge. Natural. Real. Immersive. The wide FOV gives you peripheral awareness during flight and cinematic sweep in your final footage.
ND8 Filter Included. Motion Blur. Controlled.
The included ND8 neutral density filter cuts light intake by 3 stops, allowing you to lock your shutter speed at the 180-degree rule even in bright conditions. The result: natural motion blur that makes your footage look like film, not a security camera feed. Swap filters based on lighting conditions. Dial in the exact look you want.
Manual Shutter. Manual ISO. Full Creative Control.
Auto exposure ruins cinematic footage—constantly brightening and darkening as you fly through shadows and sunlight. The Moonlight supports manual shutter speed and manual ISO settings. Lock your exposure before takeoff. Maintain consistent image brightness through the entire flight. No sudden exposure sh1fts mid-gap. No blown-out skies when you pitch up.
Dedicated Recording Board. 256GB Storage.
The included REC Board (34.5×34.5×8.3mm, 10g) handles 4K encoding and storage independently. P0p in a microSD card up to 256GB and record hours of 4K/60FPS footage. MP4 (H.264) format—compatible with every editing suite. No proprietary file types. No conversion headaches. Just drag, drop, and edit.
Wide Voltage. Wide Compatibility.
The camera and REC board accept 7.4V-25.2V (2S-6S) direct input. Power consumption is 12V @ 0.8A ± 0.1A—efficient for the processing power delivered. The included multi-cable set (6-pin to 6-pin, 6-pin to 4-pin 0.8mm, 6-pin to 4-pin 1.0mm) provides flexible connection options for Walksnail Avatar VTX V2, Mini VTX V3, Mini 1S, and Mini 1S Lite modules.
