    I check on the technical sheet and is supposed to work at 1.8 v to 350ma and I have almost nothing to say nothing at all ????????? .     This diode is specified as CW 300mW (see the specifications). CW means "Continuous Wave" If you apply "dc constant current" you are NOT following the specifications, and may damage diode. To get the rated high power (or beyond) you must PULSE the Laser. Series of pulses will form the Continuous Wave. Pulsed Lasers deliver burst of energy in short time, therefore they can burn or pierce a small holes. The beam geometry is about 1.5 mm in diameter, so you must apply a lens to focus it to 0.025 mm, this will create very intense Laser Beam. Don't forget about cooling, attach a heat sink to the "gold" part of diode, the silver part is to hold only the lens. Pin-out description: the body (shell) of diode is the "Anode" so connect the plus of power, Cathode is one of insulated pins (second is not used) and connect the minus of power through resistor. This Laser Diode is very good for Engraving. My application: I have connected the Laser Diode to the output of "class D" Power Amp so is pulsed by the Amp's internal Pulse With Modulator and works on 192kHz..
