The product works but was surprised that I cannot regulate the temperature. I opened it up and discovered that the installed heater has only two wires it does not have a thermocouple at the tip. It was just shorted at the handle. I replaced the heater tip since the order includes three heater tips and all is well. The included wire is about 3 inches shorter than my original 852D+ soldering handle
