The package claimed this is for the "peeling" of teeth! Ok, that just made me laugh. However, these really seem to be working off any plaque, but I haven't used them long enough to see a huge difference in the whiteness of my teeth. For the price tho', what the heck!

This may not live up to what the mfg says for using it, but it does make a good surface cleaner of the teeth before using a teeth whitening gel kit or something like that. You probably can dip the rods in some whitening gel also to help aid in teeth whitening.
