Unit works but does not switch reliably at 3.3 V. So although it is ok for Arduinios, it is only for the 5V kind. IRF520Ns have a threshold voltage from 2 V up to 4V so only with some luck they do work at 3.3V. Don't get confused because the LED lights up brightly even at 3V or lower.

The IRF520N doesn't work properly with 3.3V logic voltage (see datasheet as well). But it works fine with 5V logic level.
