This Thermometer has a professional apperance and lies very good in my hand. The background light is very good, and you can cange a lot of settings: emissivity, min, max and average temp, storage of values, high and low alarm.

The only thing missing is a manual. That said, it was fairly easy to work out the functions, and a pleasant surprise to see the variation: - Emissivity setting (best left at default unless you understand) - Minimum of multiple readings (up/down arrows to set the threshhold) - Maximum of multiple readings - Average of temperature of a continuous sweep across a target. - Difference between two readings - 'STO' which I take to mean saving a calibration point, but which I am leaving well alone! A single button allows you to cycle through all 4 combinations of laser pointer and backlight on/off. The unit takes a 9V battery. The battery compartment is a bit tricky to open. The °F - °C switch is under the cover All in all, very nice - especially at a very affordable tenth of the price of when these devices first came out!

the quality and feel of this is very good. I am pleasantly surprised. the plastic and buttons feels grippy. however the laser isn't exactly pointing straight otherwise it's a good item. temperature is accurate and it comes with battery and works right out of the box.
