I replaced my mechanical HDD for a SSD and I wanted to use that old drive as a secondary in my laptop and this is exactly what I needed. Works nicely and mounting was also straightforward. Although, I'd recommend to be careful when removing the plastic face plate from the old optical drive to put on this caddy, because the plastic clips can break easily. Prepare some super glue, just in case :)

Had broken disk lid plate with it like someone already used it or placed parts back in a sack. Very disappointed in delivery and customer service. Never ordering here again
