I have mixed feeling about this kit. Still trying to get familiar with it. + Casing good quality + Good quality control unit - One servo motor had bad connector needed to re-solder - Hard to focus laser - SW was hard to install needed to look for usb drivers for yourself - Image engraving not working yet - No assembly instructions - No SW included

Received it in good order, quite securely packed. Components are of good quality. When assembling the perspex frame, I recommend fitting all the parts together and holding them in place with rubber bands, before fitting the little nuts and bolts lastly. And don't tighten them too much, or the perspex will break. I also recommend buying a laser holder/heatsink, SKU178673, together with this kit. It will make the laser last longer thanks to heat dissipation, en it will also simplify adjusting the laser's hight for engraving objects of different height. You have to devise your own way of fixing the laser to the Y- and the engraving platform to the X-carriage. It seems hot glue is the most popular method, but you could also devise something using the quite strong magnets already present in the centre of the carriages.

Open your control panel 2. input the “device” in the searching bar,then click the “change device installation settings” 3.You will get a dialogue and set as below picture shows,then is finished,you can go back to check finding the question mark has gone,that meas you can use this software(if you will not use this software,please bring the “change device installation settings” back) 4. after the above set,now you need to install this patch,after that,we come back to the place the first picture showing,just click the port with exclamation mark,we will get this diague,the set steps show as follow pictures When you install the patch,you will get a diague noticing you to restart your computer,please select”NO” Get this step means you can use this software know,now we can check the place showing as the first picture,we will find that the exclamation mark has gone,now you can engrave the picture now. I'm assembling it looking at the pictures without many problems but there are two points I can't solve: how do you fix the laser module and the base plate to their respective mechanisms ?. I can't see any screw hole anywhere to do it, are they just glued in place?. Any suggestion ?. Thanks in advance.

I purchased this kit as a present for my wife - A mechanical engineer... Nothing fits, the instructions are hard to find and of poor quality at best. Large gaps in the instructions and a lot of "majic' is required to make this go together. LEGO would have been a better present... :-(

My unit arrived in 45 days after inquiry - but it nowhere contains the manual for assembly. The attached software contains only instructions for usage of unit already assembled. Is here some way, how to get/read this manual separately?
