Can't beat the price and this was much sturdier than the dollar store one I had gotten. It's sort of a latch type style and I was able to open it easily. It's easy to clean out and replacing the blades are just as easy. Even though my hair is short it's very thick. This comb handles well especially with a lot of use. I'd definitely recommend this one. I don't worry about breaking it with heavy use.
