Hello, I just got my shield today. Connecting all pins as ususal I was not able to get any info . Searching on goolge i found this site https://www.ex-store.de/Funk-Netzwerk-Bluetooth/ESP8266/ESP8266-ESP-07-Version-7-WIFI-Wlan2Serial::225.html Where, after translation, they say that Pin GPI015 has to be connected to ground. After doing this my shield started send the correct commands. So if with the normal connections this is not working try connecting pin GPI015 to ground.

Please ignore my previous comment, as I have now tested this product and it's 100% working. I tested the device both as a server and as a client, works with no problem. It's well designed and can do great things already out of the package. I give it 5 stars for everything: low price, performance, beauty, etc. It's simply perfect! And bravo banggood.com for fast shipping and nice packaging!

I have just received the four modules i ordered.I have been playing with similar but with less GPIOS SKU165317 ,and work fine.SDK and source code are available so you can standalonewrite this devices without having to interface with a microcontroller (you are able to do if you wish)

very impressed by the quality. pay attention to the spacing of the pins, it's not 0.1" and therfore not breadboard friendly

I uploaded nodemcu firmware (https://github.com/dvv/nodemcu-firmware) to this device and findout that pins on device are not marked correctly. So either nodemcu firmware is wrong or print on ESP-07 device bought from banggood is wrong. I find out that I need to pin = 1 (nodemcufirmware: GPIO5 but on device it is marked as GPIO4). So can somebody clearify this discrepancy? Or should I remove shield to find this out? nodemcu gpio table: https://github.com/dvv/nodemcu-firmware#gpio-new-table--build-20141219-and-later

Nice little boards, notice that it is a metric spacing pinout (20mm)

These boards work OK, but the silkscreen for the pinout in slightly worng: GPIO4 & GPIO5 are swapped.
