My windshield wiper blades became old and I needed to consider to buy a new set of blades. For my car (a Seat Mii - which is the same as VW Up! and Skoda Citigo), a new set of blades costs about 40 euro's here in The Netherlands. Then I discovered these universal rubber replacements from Banggood - 700 mm long - for just a bit more than 1 euro/blade. Of course, I decided to try if this works for me. For my car (LH Drive), length of front left wiper = 600 mm, front right wiper = 400 mm and tail wiper = 245 mm, so I bought two blades of 700 mm: the front right wiper and tail wiper can both be cut out of 1 rubber blade. Replacing the rubber is quite easy! You need to remove the end caps of the blades and then you can slide out the old rubber blade and slide in the new rubber blade easily. These replacement rubber blades fit very well! In my case, the front wiper caps have to be removed in a different way than the tail wiper cap. It costed me some time to find out how to remove these caps but it's not a very difficult job. To cut the blades, I used a sharp pair of scissors instead of a hobby knife, which worked very well. You can use the old blades as a reference for the length (however they may have shrinked a bit during the years). Replacing the three rubber blades for my car costed me about 45 minutes but I wanted to take pictures as illustration for the replacement. Removing the caps takes most of the time, replacement of the blade is done in a minute. Then the most important... Do they work? Well, yes, they do! And they do work very well! No stripes anymore on my windshields! I'm very happy with the result! To replace the blades costs you some extra effort but they work like blades that are about 20 times more expensive! Banggood sent the blades from the European warehouse so they arrived within a few days! So, these blades are a great alternative for a complete set of new wiper blades! As long as the old wiper frames will last this is the optimal replacement for your rubber blades! I used the old (original) set of wiper blades for about 4 years. Don't know how long these blades will last but they are of good quality so I think they'll work for a long time. And since replacement is easy.... Great, great buy with fast delivery! A previous time, I had good experience with this set of blades (they lasted just less than two years and were easy to install) and so, I invested a few more bucks in two of these rubber blades instead of the cheaper ones. What a relief! To remove the old set was still quite difficult but these rubber blades slide/out in very easy. It took me more time to take the pictures than to install the new set of blades. If they also last another two years, I'm happy. One of these blades costs about 2 euro and 60 cents now, but a complete set of windshield wipers (2 front and 1 rear) costs about 40 euro's in Holland. Arrived quickly. It was bunched up in packaging so I had my doubts if it would still work properly but it didn't seem to have any effect and it worked great. Will buy again when these worn out.
