First off, this is a case of you get what you pay for. That said, these aren't bad wind screens ... for the price. They are quite thin compared with more expensive screens, but they do cover the mics (SM-58s, in my case) and do at least cut the wind noise somewhat.
My band plays a lot of summertime festival dates and sometimes the wind can really be a problem as far as ambient noise entering the mics. These cut it by 50-percent or so, at a rough estimation.
I ordered the Black model, but they arrived
in three colors; red, black and blue. This is OK with me, since I don't really care about the appearance on stage. If color is a biggie for you, this is something to consider.
On a personal note: I've never liked using a thick wind screen for live performances. It screws up the way I "work the mic" on some songs. These thinner screens don't interfere as much with my mic technique, which I like.
As to durability, I'm guessing these won't hold up over the years. But if I can get a couple seasons out of them, at this price, it's still a good deal. For the price of one "store bought" screen, I'm getting enough to outfit the whole band.
