The supplied batteries in this kit are great quality cells. I've been using the same make for over a year now and highly recommend them over any cell with "fire" in the name. The charger is the "good" 2014 model it neither gets hot nor does it make any noise or smells funny. The number on the authenticity sticker passed the test on the Nitecore web site.
