This mod WILL work with both button and flat top batteries. What I originally thought was just plating on the end of the center pin for the 510 connection is actually a screw. Just unscrew the center if the pin until it becomes the correct length for a flat top battery and screw it back in to adjust the length for a button top. Based on this, I'm updating my rating for this device.
Solid Mod with one issue.

I just received the Chiyou Mod in chrome from Bangood. The good news is that this is a very good looking mod. The construction is good and the mod is heavier and thicker than I expected, especially considering the low price of the device. The spring in the switch is strong enough to allow you to set the unlocked mod on end without firing. The threads on the body are good, but the 510 connector threads are a little over sized. It still works, but the atomizer fit is a bit loose. No instructions are
included, but it's not hard to figure out. I'm using it with a Kayfun light (also from Banggood) and an 18650 button top battery. I've found the best way I've found to adjust the device is to screw on the atomizer then adjust the center pin on the 510 connector until it makes contact with the atomizer. Next, put the battery in and screw the bottom and center tubes together. Finally screw on the top until it contacts the battery and use the airflow adjustment ring to lock the top in place. The only downside to this mod is that I haven't been able to find a way to get it to work with an 18650 flat top battery. The tubes are too long for the ends of a flat top battery to make contact. In short, this is a good product as long as you only use button top batteries, but it won't work with flat top 18650's.
