These pastes work great! I have used them for polishing and for sharpening. On a balsa strop they work very well. I was able to push my sharpening results yet another step further. Unlike the other pastes i tried (5 to 0.25 micron set) these seem to have a different, easier to apply composition. These also smell less, if at all. A great thing is to put a drop of these on a paper towel and polish metal by hand with it. You will be surprised how quickly it gets completely black. I had to slow down to prevent overheating the razor (by hand!). I have gone through nearly all gritts to polish this razor and even though i had many scratches left from previous sandpapers the result is was able to hide them very well. I have spent about 20 minutes on each gritt - with a polishing Wheel, followed by hand polishing with a paper towel. The roughest gritts (40 etc.) seem to take off material slower than the lower gritts (7 and under), at least judging by how fast the black residue appears when paper towel polishing. I have also added another 0.25 micron paste after that, but due to its different composition the paper towel method wasnt as effective. The 0.25 paste cost the same as this entire set and you cant really see much difference at that point. I think these are the best value on the market and they are not bad quality at all.
